Top 4 tips for maintaining a healthy classroom and healthy minds:
- Good nutrition – encourage good eating habits. Hey kids, let’s eat all of our lunch and focus on the nutritional items first. To think smart in the last half of the day, you need to fuel your brain and give it power!
- Sanitize – it goes without saying these days, sanitizer stands and the repeated action of cleaning hands and desks create habits. A must for a healthy and safe environment.
- Activity – make some “get up & move” time for the students. Dance on the spot. Go outside. Jump on one leg. Physical activity gets the brain firing on all cylinders.
- Life skill learning – incorporate learning that kids can use in their day-to-day. Financial literacy, emergency preparedness, public speaking skills.
